Fees and Insurance

  • Intake Session (1 hour): $200

Regular Therapy Session (55 minutes): $175

A full and detailed fee schedule will be provided in your intake documents.

In alignment with my values about making great therapy accessible, I am presently am in-network with most Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna plans and will file claims on your behalf with your permission. Every plan is different, so you will need to verify with your insurance plan what your out-of-pocket cost may be (often called a copay or coinsurance). I recommend you call the number on your insurance card and ask about your coverage for mental health services.

  • Because every plan is different, I cannot answer this question without your specific plan information. Once you have scheduled an intake, I will be able to offer an estimate during our first session. However, there is never a guarantee your insurance plan will cover services until the claim is processed. Therefore, you need to treat every quote as an estimate.

You will need to contact your insurance company to inquire about what you may owe for mental health services. I recommend asking the following:

What is my coverage for individual outpatient mental health therapy? The most common billing codes are 90791, 90837, and 90834.

Is there a deductible on my plan that I need to meet before coverage begins?

  • I offer complimentary out-of-network billing for all other insurance plans (if your plan offers benefits). This prevents you from having to remember to submit Superbills on a monthly basis yourself. Many insurance plans will reimburse you for costs of therapy (usually plans that are identified as PPO). I recommend calling your insurance plan and ask about reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services (most common billing codes to reference are 90837 and 90834).

I also accept FSA and HSA cards, which may be a benefit of your insurance plan.

  • Session times are variable, most of my clients set up a standing weekly or every-other-week appointments.

Most sessions are held on weekdays from the hours of 11am-5pm. I occasionally have evening appointments available, though they often book out weeks in advance. We will discuss present availability during your consultation call.

  • Regular attendance is critical to your progress and will make the most out of your investment. I only work with clients on a weekly or every-other-week basis.

After you have met your initial therapy goals, we may decide to lessen the frequency of our work together to monthly or as-needed basis.

I do not offer monthly or as-needed sessions unless you have been an established client and we have determined this is appropriate for your individual needs.

  • My approach to therapy prioritizes depth over quick-fixes, therefore I prefer to work with clients who are committed to attending regularly for at least 4-6 months once we have determined we are a good fit. Effective therapy related to disordered eating, body image, and trauma is often longer-term (work that is absolutely worth it). Many of my clients will work with me for longer, depending on the nature of our work and their personal goals.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining the cost of your medical care.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call Dr. Katelyn Campbell at 843-879-4927

You will also receive detailed information regarding your rights to a Good Faith Estimate in your intake package.
