How Does It Work?

When we make an appointment, you will receive an email with a secure link to our session. At the time of our session, you will click the link and it will take you to our appointment in your internet browser. On a computer, there is no special software you need to download. If you would like to use a phone or tablet, you will need to download the free telehealth application ("Telehealth by Simple Practice"). Once you download the app, you just copy/paste the link to our session and it will connect. 

What Do I Need For a Session?

All you need is an internet connection and a private space. If you are concerned about your privacy, some of my clients choose to attend their session via the phone application while sitting in a parked car or while outside. Keep in mind if you are not near an internet connection this will require use of your phone’s data plan. 

How Is Therapy Different Through Video vs. In-person?

It is not very different at all. In fact, research has indicated people get the same benefits from online therapy as they do from in-person therapy. Many people have reported they were initially hesitant but found it a much easier adjustment than they anticipated.
